10th Yalta Annual Meeting

President Aleksander Kwaśniewski in the 10th Yalta Annual Meeting by Yalta European Strategy, which took place between 19 and 22 September 2013 in Livadia Palace in Yalta. 

The main subject of this year’s Yalta Annual Meeting was: “Changing Ukraine in a Changing World: Factors of Success”. President Aleksander Kwasniewski in the summary of the three-day conference, pointed out; “Ukraine has never been as close to the EU as it is now. Now we are not speaking of a year, two years, a decade, until we sign an agreement, we are speaking of days, weeks. The Vilnius Summit will take place in less than two months and you will finally enjoy the opportunity to be associated with the European Union. This means that there are serious responsibilities with both parties – and they are very great”.

The 10th Yalta Annual Meeting was attended by among others, Viktor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine ; Dalia Grybauskaite, President of Lithuania; Bill Clinton, former President of the United States; Tony Blair, former British Prime Minister; Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State during first term presidency od Barack Obama.

Aleksander Kwiasniewski and the “Amicus Europae” Foundation from the very beginning supported the Yalta European Strategy project.
