President Aleksander Kwaśniewski among Fifty-six former presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers and defence ministers from 20 NATO member states, as well as Japan and South Korea, have signed open letter calling on current leaders to join the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

Ahead of the September 21 High Level Commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations, Mr. President Aleksander Kwasniewski together with a group of prominent former government and UN leaders have signed an Open letter to the current world leaders to take action to strengthen the United Nations system.
