Declaration concernig the participation of President Aleksander Kwaśniewski in the Council for Reforms in Ukraine
International Council for Reforms in Ukraine has invited Mr. President Aleksander Kwasniewski - The President of the Republic of Poland in the years of 1995-2005 to cooperate with the council and Mr. President has accepted the proposal.
Mr. President Aleksander Kwasniewski will actively participate in the work of the Council coordinated by the Former President of Goergia - Michaeil Saakashvili, specially to work on the constitutional reforms.
The Council can rely on Mr. President’s great experience concerning the fact that He was one of the cowriters of the new polish constitution and also due to 10 years of His Presidency when it was followed.
On the dates of 9th -10th of April, Mr. President Aleksander Kwaśniewski was a guest of the European Executive Forum organized by Executive Club and Mr. President’s Foundation - Amicus Europae. This year the Forum took place in the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in Warsaw. The main subject of this year’s conference was “ New order in Europe and in the world - consequences for business”. Among the participants, this year organizers managed to invite people from the world of business and economy such as Tomáš Sedláček, renowned Czech economist and the author of bestselling „Economics of Good and Evil, professors: Santiago de la Cierva and Mike Rosenberg. Mr. Alfred Gusenbauer – former Chancellor of Austria, and Mr. Ivan Mikloš - former Minister of Finance of Slovakia has also confirmed their participation to present the political leadership point of view.
On 12th of February 2015, President Aleksander Kwasniewski will take part in the conference organized The Institute for International Conflict Resolution and Reconstruction in Dublin. The main subject of the meeting is “Ukraine: one year after Maidan” Among the speakers at the conference there will be Mr. Štefan Füle, Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy (2010 - 2014) and Mr. Andriy Shevchenko , Ukrainian politician and activist on the Maidan, Mr. Sergey Markedonov , an associate professor at the Russian State University for the Humanities and Mr. Thornike Gordadze , former minister of Euro-Atlantic Integration in the Republic of Georgia government.
Mr. President will also deliver a lecture to students of Dublin University entitled "New Global Challenges: What is the Future for Europe?
